Closing Down Your Unit For The Summer

If you do not have shutters, “all” furniture and items must be taken into the unit in the event of hurricane, severe tropical storm and summer rains.

HVAC system should be serviced by your air conditioning company before you leave. Set the air-conditioners at 76 or 78 degrees and keep ceiling fans running on low speed for circulation.

Do Not turn off the air conditioners.

Shut off water and re-circulating switch and the circuit breaker to the hot water heater in the laundry room.

Close drains in the kitchen, the disposal, laundry room and the bathrooms.

Unplug all small appliances on the counter in kitchen and the bathrooms.

Ice maker in the refrigerator, set on OFF position and shut the valve to the copper tubing under the kitchen sink that leads to the refrigerator. Empty all items in the freezer and in the refrigerator in the event of power outage.

Change and replace refrigerator water filter semi-annually, mark the date on filter as a reminder.

Smoke Detector batteries should be replaced semi-annually.

Vehicle transporters are to pick up and drop off vehicles during office hours,
Monday – Friday between 8AM and 4PM,
if you are not in residence.
